The Reading Rush (previously BookTubeAThon) is a week long readathon for book lovers all around the world. For one week readers gather together to read as much as they possibly can and to participate in challenges and giveaways online.

So I thought about participating last year, but just didn't get around to actually doing it. So I absolutely decided I was definitely going to do it this year! I'm really excited! If anyone else is participating, add me as a friend on the website! Here's my profile! :D

Now, to get to my TBR. So I'll do it in order of the challenges.

Challenge #1: Read A Book With Purple On The Cover
My Pick:

Challenge #2: Read A Book In The Same Spot The Entire Time
My Pick:
So I originally was gonna combine this challenge with #3 but I got approved for this this past week and decided since I read Ignite The Stars pretty quickly, that I'd insert this in for this challenge.

Challenge #3: Read A Book You Meant To Read Last Year
My Pick:
So this wasn't my original pick, but I'm really in the mood to read it so since I never got to it in November, I figured this would be perfect.

Challenge #4: Read An Authors First Book
My Pick:

Challenge #5: Read A Book With A Non-Human Main Character
My Pick:
I was torn between this or The Forever Song also by Julie, but I feel I'm more in the mood for Kitsune and Demons over Vampires.

Challenge #6: Pick A Book That Has 5 Or More Words In The Title
My Pick:
While I'm aware I could have used Girls of Paper and Fire for this one and doubled up, I'd rather use it as an excuse to read this cuz I've been DYING to get into it since my wish for it got granted!

Challenge #7: Read and Watch A Book To Movie Adaptation
My Pick:
I've been meaning to reread City of Bone for AGES now so I'm using this as an excuse to do it. Plus the boyfriend brought over the DVD for it so its seriously perfect timing.

Just curious, did any of you notice my ulterior motive with some of my picks?? *cough* 4 out of 7 of them are Netgalley books I need to read and review. *cough* Lol. I was so strategic about that. Readathon and catch up on review books?? Yup, sounds like a good idea!

  1. I hope you enjoy the reading rush! I am so busy moving and getting behind on my review books. Only one week until the MOVING part is done. Then it is just the put everything away part still happening.
