The year is 2009.  Nineteen-year-old Jackson Meyer is a normal guy… he’s in college, has a girlfriend… and he can travel back through time. But it’s not like the movies – nothing changes in the present after his jumps, there’s no space-time continuum issues or broken flux capacitors – it’s just harmless fun.

That is… until the day strangers burst in on Jackson and his girlfriend, Holly, and during a struggle with Jackson, Holly is fatally shot. In his panic, Jackson jumps back two years to 2007, but this is not like his previous time jumps. Now he’s stuck in 2007 and can’t get back to the future.

Desperate to somehow return to 2009 to save Holly but unable to return to his rightful year, Jackson settles into 2007 and learns what he can about his abilities.

But it’s not long before the people who shot Holly in 2009 come looking for Jackson in the past, and these “Enemies of Time” will stop at nothing to recruit this powerful young time-traveler.  Recruit… or kill him.

Piecing together the clues about his father, the Enemies of Time, and himself, Jackson must decide how far he’s willing to go to save Holly… and possibly the entire world.

Review: I really enjoyed this book! It is the first one I've read involving time traveling so I was very interested in it. First of all, I wanna give props to Julie Cross. For this being the first book I read involving time traveling I though it was very well done! So I give Julie props on that. I also enjoyed how most of the book was written like a journal. It gave you a real insight of what was happening day to day as he jumped through time. Not to mention, a new chapter was started every time he entered a jump so it was really easy to keep track of whether he was in his home-base or a jump. His abilities! He thought himself and his friend Adam were the only ones who knew about his ability to time travel. As we jump through the past with Jackson, we learn that a lot more people knew about his abilities than he thought, and that all the things he thought he knew about his past might not be true or what them seemed to be. Gosh, we learned so much about his past, his family and how long people knew about the Tempest gene before he figured it out himself. It was like everything Jackson thought he knew came apart around him. I couldnt imagine being him and learning all he did, AND being able to deal with it all while trying to get out of the past.

Jackson. He really grew throughout the book. It was like he went from typical careless college student to more mature adult. I can understand why with all he learned and how he processed it. He learned so much about him and his true past (that was hidden from him before) that he then had to make future related decisions based on what would be better for everyone, not just him. I really liked the few times Jackson and Holly were together (besides the time she got shot). Everyone of those times he showed just how much he loved her by trying to protect her! He tried so so hard to protect Holly and in the end it forced him to make a choice. I was so sad at the end!!! I mean his decision was the right one for everyone but it was really sad that he had to do it. But it also showed how much he matured from the beginning of the book.

4 Stars!
