Review: DO NOT READ THIS REVIEW IF YOU HAVEN'T READ DEITY. Like no joke. It would spoil things for you and it would also be massively confusing for those who havent read Deity yet.

Are we ready then???

MMMMMM. Aiden! I have to say, you are seriously an amazing guy. Alex is so lucky she has you in her life. That being said. I loved this being from Aidens POV! I've been dying to see what goes on in his head during certain situations and I loved every minute of being in his head, even if it was painful to read.

*SPOILERS FROM THIS POINT ON, SO DON'T READ IF YOU HAVEN'T READ DEITY OR ELIXIR YET*

*I'M SERIOUS!!!! I GAVE YOU FAIR WARNING! IF YOU SPOIL IT FOR YOURSELF IT'S YOUR FAULT NOW!*

So we've picked up right where Deity left off. Alex has Awakened. But she isn't herself anymore. She's consumed but this anger, and this rage that being connected to Seth is causing. He's constantly in her head. Telling her things, making her not be herself. Trying to control her. (I really hate that guy). The bond is too strong for Alex to be able to control at the moment. Its painful to watch her like that.

Aiden. Man. He loves Alex so much and its killing him seeing Alex like this when he knows that's not her in there, and just Seth controlling her through the bond. And then on top of that he has a god telling him to put Alex on the Elixir to be able to temporarily break the bond and get her under control. And that if he doesn't do that they may have to kill her. And nobody wants that. Aiden was put in a really tough spot with all the Alex related decisions he had to make and I felt so bad for him. He wanted to try and get through to her without any of that having to happen. And he knows he can, but he needs Alex to fight harder. For a moment Alex was able to fight the bond and be herself again but it pained her, like literally pained her to do it. But Aiden knows she can do it if she tries hard enough and he's determined to help her do it.

The gods. We got a shocker with them again. We found out the Apollyon in every generation has come from Apollo's bloodline. And as we learned in Deity, Alex is of Apollo's bloodline. We found out that Alex was supposed to be the first Apollyon, not Seth (UGH, STUPID SETH!). So that makes Seth come from the same line as Solaris (I think that's the name) and no one knows what Gods bloodline he's from. But no one wants to take responsibility for him either (who could blame them?) Somehow Seth slipped through the cracks first (no bueno!)

So much was packed into this little novella and I loved every minute of it!!!

But as her birthday draws near, her entire world shatters with a startling revelation and she's caught between love and Fate. One will do anything to protect her. One has been lying to her since the beginning. Once the gods have revealed themselves, unleashing their wrath, lives will be irrevocably changed... and destroyed.

Those left standing will discover if love is truly greater than Fate...

Review: As Alex would say... "OH MY GODS!" One word. AIDEN!!!! *Swoon* This is seriously the best book in the series so far! Man, I don't know where to start. Soooooo much happened in this book! Its going to be so hard to write this without saying anything too spoilery to those who haven't read it yet. I think I shall start with the hiding of what happened in New York. Man, thats a huge secret for ALex, Seth and Aiden to be keeping. And for a while they thought they got away with it, until Telly from the New York Covenant shows up (remember, he's the bad one who was trying to get Alex placed in servitude in Pure). He somehow had this suspicion about what Alex did and how Aiden covered it up. But they knew exactly how he knew about it. Now did they deny it when question. Well DUH! But man, if you think Telly is evil... You haven't seen ANYTHING yet until you read the second half of Deity. It will BLOW YOUR MINDS! Someone who we thought was becoming just a bit trustworthy and actually caring... Nope! Lying to everyones face. This person had their own agenda with how to go about getting changes made and the people he's managed to brainwash into joining his side... Its just... Its DESPICABLE what this person did. And I am definitely looking forward to seeing him taken down in the next books!!!!

Gods. Literally. The Gods! Some Gods start appearing in this book. I'm not going to say which ones, and what person actually is one even though he seemed like a normal person before it was revealed. But man!!!! You know somethings going down when the Gods get involved!!!! And OH MY GODS!!! What one of the gods did at the end of Deity when all hell broke loose... Man... DO NOT MAKE THE GODS ANGRY!!!!! BAD IDEA!!!!

So this is where I talk about the boys. I am FIRMLY on TEAM AIDEN after Deity. We all know I was wavering a bit in Pure but after Deity there's no doubt whatsoever that I am on Team Aiden now. This boy will seriously do anything for Alex and I love him for that. And man, Aiden is just so swoon worth in this book. You can't help but love him (I mean unless, your a firm believer in Seth). Aiden, man, he just did whatever he could to protect her, especially after one of the guards at the covenant ended up being against them, and attempted to kill Alex (I was so not happy about that). And just what he says to her. Man. I seriously love Aiden and Alex together (All you Team Aiden people be prepared to be really happy with this book). Alex and Aiden are seriously perfect for each other! I <3 them! Now Seth on the other hand... NOT A FAN! He hid stuff from Alex! Very valuable information that she should have known and he hid it from her! And then what he does at the end of the book! If I say anymore about that it would really spoil it but if any of you already didn't like Seth, then he's just going to prove your dislike right.

OMG!!! Alex awakened at the end!!! I'm seriously going to go nuts waiting for Apollyon after that ending!!!!!! (Yes, even after reading Elixir, which I have, Still going nuts!)

Review: Pure by Jennifer L. Armentrout

There is need. And then there is Fate...

Being destined to become some kind of supernatural electrical outlet isn't exactly awesome--especially when Alexandria's "other half" is everywhere she goes. Seth's in her training room, outside her classes, and keeps showing up in her bedroom--so not cool. Their connection does have some benefits, like staving off her nightmares of the tragic showdown with her mother, but it has no effect on what Alex feels for the forbidden, pure-blooded Aiden. Or what he will do--and sacrifice--for her.

When daimons infiltrate the Covenants and attack students, the gods send furies--lesser gods determined to eradicate any threat to the Covenants and to the gods, and that includes the Apollyon... and Alex. And if that and hordes of aether-sucking monsters didn't blow bad enough, a mysterious threat seems willing to do anything to neutralize Seth, even if that means forcing Alex into servitude... or killing her.

When the gods are involved, some decisions can never, ever be undone.

Review: I swear I was on a roller coaster this entire book. I loved it but my emotions were so up and down. I mean one minute I was over the moon happy, the next I was anger, then I was close to tears, but then someone would do something so amazing to make me smile again. And that went on the entire book! Jennifer L. Armentrout really knows how to write a fantastic book that you don't want to put down! Ok, so Alex! I definitely thought she was being a little spaztastic (yes I made up that word) and irresponsible at some points (like sneaking around the Covenant after curfew, and we know that had a bad ending). But overall I thought some of those times she had every right to stand up and defend herself in some of those things. Especially those things in which she was being forced to do something that her step-dad specifically said that she didn't have to do, and others where she was being accused of stuff everyone knows she would never do. She had every right to defend herself in those situations. Since I brought up her step-dad, I didn't hate him as much as I did in the first book. In fact, I think I kinda like him just a little. He was actually looking out for Alex in this book, a lot more than he was in the first that earned him respect with me. We also learned he was behind things changing for the Covenants. Before we were lead to believe he was hardcore in the original beliefs but come to find out, he wants change a lot. That also really made me like him more, especially since I want to see change as well. Ok, I really don't like Telly. Out of everyone on the council I despised him like no freaking tomorrow. He was just so rude to everyone! And he believes very strictly in the old ways which I think are seriously wrong. And the misleading to get Alex to the council just so he could try and put her into servitude was SERIOUSLY wrong. Everyone else even semi close to Alex agreed on that.

Seth & Aiden. I don't even know where to begin with these two! Ok, so for about the first 1/4 of the book I was securely on Team Aiden! But after that, he kept saying things to Alex, things we all know he was saying because of the rules but still. He was just so rude and mean about somethings! After he started doing that I started wavering from Team Aiden just because of how Seth was there for her. Alex went through a lot in this book and even with the connection Alex and Seth have it really looked like there is more than their Apollyon connection between them. And thats why I'm starting to go over to Team Seth. I feel caught in the middle right now. Especially after all that happened between Seth & Alex and then what Aiden did at the end. I just don't know what Team to be on. My head is telling me to be on Team Aiden but my heart is saying Team Seth. So I just don't know. I guess I'll have to see what happens in Deity to hopefully be fully back on a team again. Since I brought it up... THE ENDING! HOLY SH*T! I'm sorry, but the ending seriously calls for that saying. SOOOOO much happened. First we got this whole thing going on with someone doing what their not supposed to just to try and get rid of Alex, then we have this massive Daimon attack on the New York Covenant! And Alex, she got through all those attempts to get rid of her and then she goes into battle against the Daimons! And then she even killed the Furies! If people were doubting Alex's strength they shouldn't be anymore, because her training and her Apollyon powers we're more than enough to prove how strong and trained she is. I really can't wait for Deity!

I haven't really done anything crazy. Well, except maybe checking out every book I possibly can that I wanna read from the library so no one else can take it before I get a chance to go back and get it. Lol. Well, I did brave the crowds at Barnes and Noble when Breaking Dawn came out but that's about as crazy as its got.

Top Ten Books I'd Recommend To Someone Who Doesn't Read Young Adult (YA)

1. Half-Blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout - OMG! If you haven't read Half-Blood or any of Jennifer's books in general drop everything and pick one up right now! She writes amazing books. Half-Blood was my first taste of her writing and I cant get enough. Awesome writer, awesome book!

2. City of Bones by Cassandra Clare - First book in The Mortal Instruments series and it is so amazing! I have not met one person who doesnt like Cassandra Clare's writing!

3. The Host by Stephenie Meyer - If your at all worried it's like Twilight, its not. Its nothing like it. It's very good! And after the first few pages it gets really interesting and you dont want to put it down!

4. The Statistical Probability of Love At First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith - This book is such a cute read. If you like short contemporaries and like cute stories about people falling in love this book is a good place to start!

5. Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins - This is my fave young adult contemporary! Its just pure amazing! If you dont start with TSPOLAFS (above #4) then I HIGHLY HIGHLY suggest you start with Anna. Ehh. I actually suggest you start with Anna anyways because of how much I love it!

6. Unearthly by Cynthia Hand - I know a lot of people get tired of Angel books and give up on them but this is one everyone should read! It's one of the best Angel books I've read and if you were to start reading Angel books I'd suggest Unearthly first!

7. Divergent by Veronica Roth - Dystopian! If you wanna read a really amazing YA Dystopian I suggest you start with Divergent! I couldnt put this book down!

8. Uglies by Scott Westerfeld - This is another dystopian but it's completely different from others and I have proof people who dont read YA would like it. I read it, then I bought a copy for my best friend and she loved the series and now her mom is reading it and loving it!

9. Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi - Another dystopian but again, its kind of different and its one that keeps you hooked from beginning to end!

10. Nevermore by Kelly Creagh - I don't know what to specifically classify this as but it is amazing! Especially if your a fan of Edgar Allen Poe. Certain things in this book are based on his stories and he is just studied in general in this book. It is amazing!

Review: Half-Blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout

The Hematoi descend from the unions of gods and mortals, and the children of two Hematoi-pure-bloods-have godlike powers. Children of Hematoi and mortals-well, not so much. Half-bloods only have two options: become trained Sentinels who hunt and kill daimons or become servants in the homes of the pures.
Seventeen-year-old Alexandria would rather risk her life fighting than waste it scrubbing toilets, but she may end up slumming it anyway. There are several rules that students at the Covenant must follow. Alex has problems with them all, but especially rule #1:
Relationships between pures and halfs are forbidden.
Unfortunately, she's crushing hard on the totally hot pure-blood Aiden. But falling for Aiden isn't her biggest problem--staying alive long enough to graduate the Covenant and become a Sentinel is. If she fails in her duty, she faces a future worse than death or slavery: being turned into a daimon, and being hunted by Aiden. And that would kind of suck.

Review: AHHH!!!!! I couldn't put this book down!!! I was glued to it until I forced myself to put it down so I could sleep! Like no joke, this book is that good! It started pretty much where Daimon left off. Alex hiding from the Daimons, but this time people from the Covenant found her and saved the day (I guess). And Alex even though she was reluctant at first got to go back to the Covenant finally. She found out her uncle is like the head of the Covenant, which you think would be good for her right? Wrong, the first thing he tries to do is make her into a slave for things that happened in her past. Slave??? Um, I think I'd be beyond pissed if someone tried to make me into a slave. Lucky for her, the very hot Aiden steps in and offers to train her and try to get her caught up so she doesn't have to be put into servitude. That made me very happy! I really didn't want to see Alex forced to be a slave after all that happened to her. She totally deserved the chance to step up and prove herself and that she could get caught up. Though of course, even though Alex's life was already a wreck, they had to add more to the pile. Like that her mom wasn't really dead! Instead she was a Daimon. I mean, she already had enough on her plate, then they had to add more! I felt so bad for her! I mean she was going through so much and that only made things worse.

Aiden! He just sounds amazingly hot! I have to say that! I liked him before Alex really got interested in him (even though its not allowed). He was so dead set on helping Alex train and being a friend to her. I loved seeing their friendship/relationship grow. I especially loved how he told Alex that she could talk to him about anything. She needed a friend who would be there for her like that. Seth, the Apollyon, i dont know what it was, but from the first moment Alex saw him and sensed a connection between them I knew somehow what Alex was herself. So many things just clicked in that moment. I knew in some way Alex was another Apollyon. I found her relationship with Seth hilarious though. He'd try to talk to her, help her and she just wasnt having it. He tried so hard but it didnt go anywhere. Well, except at the end. After Alex having to kill her mom (OMG! That must have sucked, even if she was a Daimon) and Seth being the one who lead them to save her from the Daimons. I dont know what team I'm on honestly. I really like Aiden but Seth is kind of growing on me. Lol.
