Stacking The Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews and Reading Reality as a way to share all the books we got during the week!

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer. Its a weekly post to showcase what books you got, recap the week, and talk about what will be coming up this week on the blog!

So I finally got my hands on a copy of King's Cage. After having to wait weeks for it to either be available from the library or Barnes & Noble to finally get more in, Barnes & Noble finally got more in. Lol. And of course I picked up A Reaper At The Gates! I even went out of my way on vacation to pick it up! I started both while on vacation!

So it was a week. I finally got a copy of King's Cage that I've started, and I also bought A Reaper At The Gates on release day and I started that too. Didn't finish anything other than A Court of Frost and Starlight right before we left on vacation. I tried getting more reading done this week but I was just exhausted. I maybe got 2 chapters a night done. Lol.

So like I said, we were on vacation in California this week. We had a lot of fun! We went to Legoland on Tuesday! Ana got her first face painting done there! She was super excited about it! Here's a picture of Ana and James standing in the Knight area!

Wednesday was beach day and since Ana wasn't super interested in going to the beach, me and James got to have a nice beach day by ourselves while Ana got to spend time back at the hotel with Nana and Granddad. James loves playing in the ocean.

Luckily since we got home, it's been cloudy and rainy thanks to some monsoon storms moving in finally. A little heat relief is nice, though its definitely gonna make for some awful humidity this week.

So I posted the 2nd quarter update this week! I talked about the books I've read since the first update and where I am overall challenge wise! And if you might wanna sign-up, make sure to check out the sign-up post linked below!

I also posted the first update for The Young Elites Read-Along. I talked about my thoughts on it, thoughts going forward with the series and linked my review up.

  • Review: A Reaper At The Gates (Ember Quartet #3) by Sabaa Tahir
  • New Releases: Week of June 19, 2018
  • Review: The Rose Society (The Young Elites #2) by Marie Lu
  • The Young Elites Read-Along: Update #2

  1. I've given up on the Red Queen books when I couldn't get through the second book but I'd actually love to know what happens in the books. I just don't want to read them. lol

    1. Heh. I made it through book 2 but it definitely wasn't my favorite. I've heard the 3rd is a little better so I'm continuing. Lol. But thats definitely how I am with some series. Lol.

  3. Oooo, A Reaper at the Gates! I got a copy as well and can't wait to read the book. I also preordered a copy from the bookstore of the D.C. event since I want to attend. I don't know what I'm going to do with two copies but that's okay! :D

I hope you enjoy all of your new books! Have a fabulous weekend. =)

    1. It was so great. Especially since it was barely in the 80's compared to the 100's we've been dealing with! Thanks! I will! :)

  7. You seem to be enjoying your vacation with the family. It always tends to be more tiring for parents during vacations.

    Amazing additions to your library.

    Happy Reading!

  9. Ahh Victoria Aveyard's books, I getting kind of a guilty-read vibe from that book. I feel like the quality of this series writing style has a bit of a mixed reaction, and I myself tried reading the first book...and a shame it didn't really leave an impression (which was such a shame because it has a prince ahaha).

    Have a great week!

    1. Heh. Yeah. Its definitely mixed feelings about the series. I really liked the first book, but the 2nd book was meh for me. I heard the 3rd was better so I'm continuing on.

Have a great week as well!
