A Week In My Life covers what happened throughout the week. It'll include my posts for under each respective day, a recap of the day, etc. After the week I'll then include any books I received this week! It is officially replacing the Stacking The Shelves, Sunday Post, Weekly Recap post I used to do and puts everything under a much neater title.

Monday:
So after my post last Sunday on HFB, Monday was when I really started getting everything switched over to the new blog. It mainly consisted of getting my posts imported first, tweaking the layout and updating the template.

I was also busy Monday with 3 job interviews. For those of you that haven't read my updated about me, I'm going to school to get my Bachelors in Elementary Education. I've been applying for aide positions both gen ed and special ed to get experience in a classroom while I do school and ended up with 3 interviews for Special Education aides on Monday. I got offered two of them within an hour of their respective interviews.

Tuesday:
After talking over both offers with Brian (boyfriend), I accepted one of the positions. So that's started my hiring process. The principal and team I'll be working with are so excited to have me! I felt really good about the interview with them!

We also got used to my daughters updated virtual days. They added another zoom meeting for Tuesdays starting in December. She's on a hybrid model for school for now. Mondays and Thursdays in person for her cohort, the rest of the week virtual.

I also started school myself. December 1st was the first day of my term! I worked with my mentor to get my classes set up, she walked me through navigating them, gave me tips for them, etc.

Wednesday:
More updating of the blog, changing social media names, etc. I still have links to change for a number of pages (links on the pages, not the pages themselves), but its going good. I just have to do it a little bit at a time.

Really started on my reading for my first class, Educational Foundations

Thursday:
Big day. I posted the 2021 Dystopia Reading Challenge Sign-Ups, which is also the first post I've done on the new blog that wasn't imported! Woooo! Make sure to sign up if you're interested! You guys know I love this challenge!

Got through a decent chunk of reading for school, including some topics I already knew which helped me go faster. Yay!

Friday:
Was Ana's birthday! My little girl turned 6 today! She is growing up so fast!

I did some CPR/First Aid classes for my aide position as the certs are required for my position. So I got those done.

More school reading. Got through a huge chunk of the history of education and standards sections!

Saturday:
Spent mostly cleaning the apartment. Sunday is when my parents and her dads parents are coming over to celebrate her birthday (just a small gathering since COVID). Don't worry, I've essentially only really had contact with three other households since covid started. My parents, my boyfriends parents, and my ex's parents (Ana's other grandparents). So we're not doing huge gatherings. Just seeing close family we know are healthy.

We did venture to Walmart to pick up her Frozen themed cupcakes for her small party and some decorations. They came out so good looking! She's excited for her party even though she didn't get to invite her friends. She's still happy to see her grandparents.

Books I Received will cover all the books. Bought, ARC, NetGalley, etc. I'll just break it down within which ones are which.

NetGalley

I got this as I'm taking part in the blog tour for it. Thanks NetGalley & Flatiron Books!
