2021 Dystopia Reading Challenge: 2nd Quarter/Mid-Year Update

Happy June! It's here guys! The second quarter/mid-year update for the 2021 Dystopia Reading Challenge! I hope we're all having some success with our reading goals!! Sorry it's a bit late. We've had some issues this week (one being our AC going out and needing fixed asap in AZ heat). It's just been a bit of a long week.

Books Read:

None. Ugh. I swear I will read some before this year ends! Lol. For the most part though I really had to put myself into my Psychology class after the last update cuz I was struggling hard with it and understanding everything. The good news is I passed it and did really well. But I absolutely needed the time I sunk into it because it really took time for me to understand the theories, theorists, learning strategies, etc. I'm almost positive that was the class I really was gonna struggle with the most since this was not my first attempt at all that. So things should be getting better here on out school wise. I have a bit more confidence regarding the rest of my classes.

I'm actually going to start the audiobook soon for Golden Son by Pierce Brown. I've really been wanting to get back into this series. And I think while I'm working on flash cards for both me and the boyfriend for our cert exams for our respective fields is honestly a great time to listen to an audiobook.

2021 Dystopia Reading Challenge: 1st Quarter Update

Sorry its a few days late, I completely forgot to actually schedule it for the 15th and it was just sitting in my drafts. Oops.

My Books Read:

So I haven't read any books yet. Despite wanting to, if you saw my most recent A Week In My Life, you'll see what was going on with my job that was keeping me really busy and a bit frustrated honestly, which wasn't cool considering I was an aide, not an actual teacher. So it's been frustrating in general for me since I haven't had time to read, game or even work as fast as I wanted on school work. I'm looking for a different position in that district that will allow me to actually be able to enjoy things at home again instead of having to take work home with me.

However, I am using this time looking for a different position to actually catch up on school and listen to an audiobook or two while doing it. I started Defy Me by Tahereh Mafi since finishing the Shatter Me series is one of my top goals with the dystopia challenge this year! I'll actually have something for the next update. Lol. But I'm so excited to see everyone's progress and what books you've read! :D

2021 Dystopia Reading Challenge: January-June Link-Up

Welcome to the first half of the 2021 Dystopia Reading Challenge!! This will be the first of two bi-annual link-ups for your reviews! So this link-up will cover January, February, March, April, May & June! The link-up will always be easily accessible by hovering over Dystopia Reading Challenge tab and selecting Review Link-Up from the drop down menu. :)

2021 Dystopia Reading Challenge Sign-Ups

Welcome to the 7th annual Dystopia Reading Challenge! 2021 is my fourth year hosting it and I'm so excited to be back with it. I'll be hosting some giveaways and of course we are still going to earn our fun badges from years past!

THE GUIDELINES

This challenge will run from January 1, 2021 - December 31, 2021.
You can join at anytime before December 1, 2021.
Books must be read and reviewed in 2021.
Audiobooks, re-reads, short stories, and crossovers are fine.
You don't have to be a book blogger to participate! You can track your progress on Goodreads, Shelfari, Booklikes, Youtube, etc.
Sign up below with your post, shelf, etc. and leave a comment letting us know what your personal goal is.
Can be combined with other challenges! Cuz who doesn't like reading books that count for multiple challenges??
Link up your reviews on the bi-annual post we'll provide!
Use the hashtag #2021DystopiaReads to share your reviews and chat with others on Twitter (and Instagram if you use that as well) doing the challenge!

CHALLENGE LEVELS

Read and review 1-5 dystopian books to receive the Recruit badge.

Read and review 6-10 dystopian books to receive the Rebel badge.

Read and review 11-15 dystopian books to receive the Revolutionist badge.

Read and review 16+ dystopian books to receive the Leader badge.

My personal goal will again be Leader! Here's my TBR so you can see some of what I'm planning on reading!
